I wrote an android app that takes text from SQL lite database and files from tablet storage of several thousand images and videos. I have not tested application for read time use. I want to know if there are chances of failure because of huge requirement of files for the app. Does android Kitkat has any limitation of retrieving data from several thousand files? (I am yet to decide on compatible hardware for this. Your suggestions are welcome on this too. There is no budget constraints for right kind of hardware.)

Offhand, I don't see a reason why number of files would be a constraint. However, this question is outside the scope of our forums, so there may not be a volunteer who knows the answer.
