Galaxy Note 4 - where can I find contacts exported to a device?

A

AC Question

I exported the contacts twice to the device from my Sim card. When I imported contacts from my device I have all the contacts Connected via device twice. I would like to find the location of the exported files and delete the duplicated file but I am unable to find them. Can anyone help?

Welcome to Android Central! If you imported those contacts twice, then they're in the phone's Contact Storage twice. It's not really a file that you're supposed to mess with. You probably have to delete each duplicate one by one.

Any reason why you're using the SIM card for your contacts? Have you considered importing all of your contacts into your Google account? That way, they remain safe and easily accessible in the cloud. If you get a new phone, it's very easy to sync all of the contacts in. If your phone is lost or damaged, the contacts are still safe in the cloud.
