I just got the note 4. When I added my Google account it didn't restore all my apps. I have been backing up my htc using their back up tool but this is linked to my Google account. What am I doing wrong?

I'd use Helium. Back everything up (the default is data from the apps only, not the apps, so change that check box), copy the folder named carbon (Helium's old name) to your PC, plug in the Note 4, install Helium, back up an app's data, so it created a folder (preferably on the external card - you have a choice), then use the PC to copy everythiong in the carbon folder to the folder in the Note 4.

(Don't just copy the folder over - it has to be created, in the Note 4, by Helium, or Helium can't write to it.)

You'll have to download a Windows file if the phones aren't rooted, to allow Helium to run, but the instructions are in the app.
