Last week I performed a system upgrade on my M8. In the past on the lock screen any notifications appeared as a simple icon in the notification bar along the top. Now they appear in large text on the screen. I really want to go back to just having icons in the bar at the top.
In the setting the only think i can see if have the new way or no noticiations at all on the lock screen. Any ideas please?

Welcome to Android Central! I assume you updated to Lollipop. That's how the Lollipop lockscreen works now. You could change which notifications show up on the lockscreen--there should be an option in the system settings, but I'm not exactly sure where on the M8. On my Nexus 5, it"s Settings>Sound & Notification>When Device Is Locked. I can select "Show all notification content", "Hide sensitive notification content", or "Don't show notifications at all."
