Hi! I love my Galaxy Note 4. Except the charging cable is too short for when I get in from work
My charge is completely gone at about 4 so when I get home, I have to plug it in immediately. There is the problem of missing all my phone calls because I can't get to the phone in time. I have a 10 foot cable but it drains the battery unless the phone is off. Is there anything I can do? Maybe just buy a new pre-paid phone for job-hunting and California relatives?

The cable has nothing to do with draining the battery (unless it's too thin - cheap cables don't give you larger wire for longer cables).

Buy a spare battery. They're about $13. (Amazon - look for an Anker battery for the Note 4.) When the battery in the phone gets down to 40%, pop the back off and swap batteries. (You can get a battery with a charger for a couple of dollars more - then you can charge the battery in the phone and the one out of the phone at the same time.)

Letting the battery drop below 40% shortens the life. If you let it drop to 5% or less regularly, you'll be lucky to get 300 charges out of it. (If you've been doing that, buy 2 batteries, because the one you have is going to go soon.)
