Hi again,
So I decided to send it back to gearbest given the suspicious installs and buy another phone from a more reputable source. It's been months since I started interacting with customer service and I've never had a worst customer experience, at least that I can remember. They don't want to refund and rather give "credit". They take weeks to reply to an email. They claim they never received the good at their warehouse (I have a delivery receipt, but beware there as well because they advise you not to use a usual DHL or Fedex, presumably for this exact reason...). I've waster >6-7 hrs dealing with this, just to get a phone a little cheaper and faster. Lessons learnt. Stay away from Gearbest and only buy from reputable sources!
