Keyboard retyping word I just deleted.

When typing a message or what have you, if I mispell a word and then go back an delete a portion of a word and try to type the rest, it adds the rest of the mispelled word before what I type. I.E if I typed "staer" and tried to fix it to "stare" it ends up giving me "staerre" when I backspace and retype the re. How can I fix this?

I'm having the same issue. I have an ATT LG G3 That is on straight talk. If anyone can help please help.
