Why am i not able to type on mu nexus 5?

I am expiriencing some problem, i am absolutly not able to type anything on my nexus 5 phone. Can you help me in this regard, also is it because of system change in the settings?

Welcome to Android Central! More details would be helpful. Which keyboard app are you using, Google Keyboard? Is the keyboard not coming up at all? Is it coming up, but not registering your keystrokes? Have you tried other keyboards like SwiftKey?

Is your keyboard not responding? Have you tried to force stop it?

Yes I do use, google keyboard itself. No, keypad is not showing at all.
