How can I make my music player buttons larger on the lock screen?

Music player buttons on lock screen

I recently got a HTC Desire 510 as an upgrade from a Wildfire. On the Wildfire, when the phone was locked, the default music player buttons were nice and big and in the middle of the screen. On the Desire 510, they're (relatively) tiny and tucked into a corner. Is there something I can do to make them take up more screen space?
