I have a rooted t mobile note 3 on 4.4.2. I want to perform a factory reset without having to put the official firmware back in it as I want to keep my root. Is this possible?

When u factory it doesn't take root away. It only resets the phone to default settings. In order to lose root u have to accept an ota or flash the stock firmware.

Well I haven't found a clear answer. I used the stock rom but just got the root access. I wasn't sure if I just did a factory reset from the settings if it would brick my phone.

More specifically without unrooting my phone to factory restore it
