Why are my audio files on my SD Card partially playing back then stopping?

SD Card Audio File Problem

Hi,

I have an HTC one m8 and I'm using an SD card. I listen to a lot of podcasts and I want to download them and my google play music onto the SD card. I managed that without any problems but I find that some of the files will not play back or will partially play back then stop. Additionally some files will partially play back then seem to play sections of the audio file but in a jumbled order or as if some the file is missing.

I'm using Pocket Casts and the Google Play Music app.

How can I fix this so I can play my audio files from my SD card?

Welcome to Android Central! It's possible the card is corrupt. Can you try a different card? Make sure you Unmount the current card (in Settings>Storage) before removing it. You can then insert the old card into your PC card reader and run chkdsk to look for bad sectors: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...guide-using-chkdsk-fix-corrupted-sd-card.html
