I'm a recent migrant from windows phone to android, I loved the seamless voice control over bluetooth on WP when I was driving or working with my hands.

I would have thought Android (v4.4.4) would allow me to compose texts, read texts to me, and allow me to respond to texts using my bluetooth headset, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Now, I have set up the "Ok Moto" application and it does work, but not through bluetooth, and it will only read my texts (through the phone's speaker) if my location is on and it is able to determine that I'm moving in my car. I find the mandatory location settings to be annoying, I live in a part of the US that doesn't have constant GPS satellite connection and I don't need it to be on in the first place.

Am I missing a setting in the bluetooth options or is it something else.

    Thanks ahead of time!

It does work but it depends on the unit or system you're connecting to. So, you need to check the compatibility to see if both systems will work nice.

For example, here is Kenwood JVC compatibility list with Bluetooth.
