Why does my Samsung Note Pro 12.1 takes 6-7 hours to charge even when it is turned off?

samsung note pro 12.1 takes 6-7 hours to charge even when it is turned off.

It has always taken a very long time to charge, even when it is turned off. Is this normal? I have had my note 12.1 for about 3 months.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using the original charger? Plugged into a wall outlet? When charging from a wall outlet, go to Settings>Battery--does it say it's charging via AC or USB?
