Welcome to Android Central! Where are you seeing that message? Is it a popup that appears only when you're browsing on the web? It strikes me as probably scareware--i.e., it scares you into thinking you have to install some bogus security app that is conveniently linked in the popup, and said app is probably malware in itself.
