How do I stop my music icons from staying on my lock screen?

Lock Screen Image on Lolipop

I just updated to Lolipop on my S5 and now when I am listening to music and the lock screen engages, the image of the music I am listening to at the time, is now my lock screen image. how do I make that stop?
Also, I would like suggestions of a better music app than play or google play (I don't like either).
