App similar to myAppFree in Play store? Note: myAppFree is for Windows Phones

[AC Question]

I own a Moto E and an HTC 8X for Windows phone as well. For Windows phone there is an app called "myAppFree", through which we get notified for when a paid app is being published for free download for a day or so. I was wondering if there is a similar app for Android? I couldn't find any app in Google play store. Can anyone guide me to the right app?

Welcome to Android Central! You could try an app like AppSales, but I'd be cautious with those kinds of apps--they are likely to push certain apps over others, and also come with lots of ads.

I find it easiest to open the Google Play Store daily and just look at the main screen. They typically alert you to app sales there. Also install Amazon Appstore, and check it daily, because they have a different paid app offered for free every day.
