How can I root my Canadian Samsung S4 I337M?

Rooting Canadian Samsung S4 I337M Malware

I just got a SGH-I337M from FutureShop here in Canada and wanted to root it. I have never rooted before.

I dislike bloatware and Cyanomodgen looked nice.

I followed a tutorial about downloading towelroot... I got to the point of "make it rain" and it said phone not supported.

So after more research there were instructions about how this has to be done manually by installing Odin and then using AP to flash a ROOT kernel.

Anyways, I got Odin from odindownload. com which is absolute horse*****. That stuff is full of malware and spyware and I spent the last hour cleaning my PC.

New to this and find it really frustrating - especially after that garbage. Having a hard time finding a simple tutorial on how to remove samsung/bloat... and just install something clean and minimal.

Don't know what to do now - don't want to use Odin malware junk again.
