Why won't my Samsung Galaxy 2 Tab turn on?

Samsung Galaxy 2 Tab wont turn on....done everything possible

.bought this yesterday from a friend and it was telling me to charge, which i did with the cable given to me,,,nothing, then it went off..went through every option on the net, even disconnected the battery for 5 minds then tried again,,nothing..so, bought a new charger today, the battery symbol comes on the screeen folowed by another battery symbol witha tiny bit of blue showing then nothing..still wont turn on or do anything, tried holding the buttons down,STILL NOTHING..

Welcome to Android Central! Ask your friend if he noticed any abnormal battery behavior lately.

If the battery died, you may not have let it charge for long enough before trying to power on again. Let it sit on a wall outlet overnight without disturbing it, then try powering on again.
