I have a nexus 4, I have disassembled and reassembled the phone, installing a new LCD and front glass with digitizer. The power button will not cut it on even though it is well charged. After holding down the power button and the volume up button for 60 seconds and then when we released, the fast boot loaded up. However once we were in it, the power button wouldn't do anything. Is the power button broken? Do we need a new one? When a usb cable is plugged in it shows the charging icon.

Welcome to Android Central! The power button is one of the more common components to fail, so yours probably needs to be replaced. Did this only start after you replaced the screen? If so, I would guess that in the process of replacing the screen, something happened to the power button or its circuitry.
