is there a way to set default answering mode

my phone is playing music on my bluetooth radio when I drive around, when i answer calls its still connected, can I set it up to answer using the phones ear and mouth piece when connected to Bluetooth

You can do this if you use another app to assign a specific profile. Tasker would be good for this, since you can specify when to use the Bluetooth stereo system (ex: using Pandora or other music app) and when to disconnect (ex: making or receiving calls).

If you open Bluetooth (in Settings, in Connections), you should see the car audio (when it's connected to the phone). Tap the gear on the right and you'll probably have 2 profiles, music and phone. Disable the phone profile for the radio.
