I was doing a factory reset of my Samsung Note 2 phone. It started showing the green android man logo with 'erasing' and it has got stuck at this for now more than 10 hours. Pls help. Looks like it has become a brick.

I've tried pressing the volume key down and power button to get into download or recovery mode but it doesn't go there.

    Pls help

Welcome to the forums. 10 hours? I personally would risk a battery pull for about 10 minutes, reinsert, don't power on, let it charge for 20 minutes and then try to turn it on.

    Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply. I was afraid to stop the process in between and let it continue for hours. I have a spare battery and I have replaced the battery. It still is showing the same android man with a message below as "Erasing ...." which blinks every 5 seconds. Other than that, I am not able get into any mode.

Is there any hardware reset button (like inserting a pin or something..)? If not, how do I proceed now?

    Thanks a lot..

Sorry for the delay. I am not sure what to suggest. Maybe contacting Samsung. They have kiosks in Best buy you can try taking it to as well.
