I am trying to root my Galaxy Note Pro (sm-p900 wifi only), and it just isn't cooperating. I installed Odin 3.07, and CF-Auto-Root-v 1awifi-v 1awfixx-smp900.tat.md5, on my Windows computer. I put my Note 12.2 into download mode, Opened Odin, on my computer, connect the usb cable, click on the PDA tab, select the (unzipped) CF Auto Root file, press the volume up on my tablet, then wait a second or two, and hit start in Odin. From there, Odin starts, and then in green, the word 'cache' appears. From there, I wait sometimes up to 30 minutes, and it says 'failed' in red. When I turn my tablet back on, it says that I need to recover in Kies. I can get around this by flashing the ROM, in Odin, and re-installing the firmware. My tablet will then work again, but it is not rooted. I then turn the tablet off, hold down the home, and volume down buttons, to get into download mode, and repeat the above process, and keep getting the same outcome. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong, so that I can finally get my tablet rooted. Do I need to install USB drivers, or Kies to get things to work? Thank you.
