I upgraded my Galaxy S5 last night and since then my home button has not functioned, I can not use it to go home from any application. It is however responsive in waking the phone from sleep mode.

I have cleared cache and performed a factory reset and no luck.

    Any help is appreciated.

I am having nearly the exact same problem. Only difference is a factory data reset does fix it, but only for a little bit and my menu button wont do anything at all. Telus in Canada, SM - G900W8 model

I have seen the same issue too. I did three factory resets, booted into safe mode, wiped my cache. No luck. For now I had to install a 3rd party app to put a home button on my notification tray. I am on Rogers with a galaxy s5.

I'm in the same boat. For me a restart fixes it, but only temporarily.

Anyone else have their back button and the task mngr button not responding when the home button goes dead? On top of that, I keep receiving notifications of certain services not responding, messenger, google among others, even though I can still bring them up and use them?

Also is anyone else running "Phoneweaver" It's a smart profile app manager? I've found that when I disable that app all my issues go away. I have an open dialog with the developers to try and diagnose the problem.
