Why has 1/2 of my touch screen stopped working?

1/2 of touch screen not working

My HTC ONE M7 the bottom half of the touch screen stoped working. top half works fine.

Welcome to Android Central! If you go to landscape mode, is it still the same area that's not sensing? That is, the right half in landscape mode? It's probably a faulty digitizer. You probably need to take it to a repair shop.
