Why can't my phone connect to my wifi?

... My phone is messed up

Ok, so I was using a Samsung galaxy note 2, and after I was done using it, my phone suddenly stopped connecting to our home wifi. So I restarted it a couple of times. It however would connect to the wifi outside and it would work. So I decided to reset my phone to fac defaults. However, when that wouldn't work, I pressed the power button, the home button, and the volume key, and I tried to manually reset it, but its just stuck on downloading package. Please wait.. Whats the problem here?

Re: ... My phone is messed up

Welcome to Android Central! The button press combination you used was probably the one to get into Download Mode, used with the Odin program to install ROMs. As long as you're not actively downloading anything, you can get out of that screen by pressing and holding the Power button until it shuts off, or by pulling the battery, then powering back up again. The proper procedure for booting into recovery is here: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11018
