Why doesn't my screen work?

i can turn my phone off and on but i feel the vibration when its turning on but my screen stays black. Its a samsung galaxy s3. The LED for notifications and everything still works but the screen. I already tried turning it off or on and also taking out the battery but yet nothing has worked.

Welcome to Android Central! The screen probably failed. Any recent drop, trauma or water exposure? If not, it might have been a spontaneous failure. Bring it to a repair shop to get it replaced, unless you're interested in getting a new phone.
