Why can't I get the contacts to download and be shown in the cars file using my Galaxy S4 mini?

I have tried all afternoon to get the contacts to show in the Mazda CX5 display screen but it keeps telling me the contacts are not there, got me beat, and very frustrated.

Bluetooth is a pipe, not the contents of the pipe.

IOW, there's no single "this is how you say it" Bluetooth spec. If your phone and your car aren't "speaking the same language" (using compatible contact profiles), the contacts won't transfer to the car. If you're running 4.4.4 or Lollipop in the phone, see if your Mazda dealer's service department has any service notes or updates for the radio.

I bought the phone because it was on the list of recommended phones given by Mazda, I think there must be something that I am not doing right as it will callback ok but doesnt want to store the contacts list from the phone even though it tells me it is downloaded. help!
