Volume button coming off?

Well I noticed that my volume button started coming off, the top side. I have no clue why this happened and it just happened. It seems to have come unclipped to the button and is not going back in. If I push down it still presses on the volume up but I don't want to break the switch forever. I should also note that it's come lose to the point I could just remove the whole thing if I had to. I only got the phone 3 months ago as well so it's not like the phone is just old. I also never pressed it a lot, this just happened one day when I looked down. Any help would be nice as I can't find any information on the problem.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Since it's only 3 months old, your best bet is to contact the manufacturer about warranty repair.
