Galaxy S5 - Android Lollipop (5.0) Keyboard Lag?

[AC Question]

Ever sicne upgrading to lollipop on my S5 I have experienced keyboard lag. Did not have this issue with 4.4.2 I use Swiftkey and always have, never expierenced this issue. Only seems to happen when I text quickly which results in the device taking 3-4 seconds to catch up. I have tried other keyboards such as Google Keyboard and the default one and I still seem to come across the same issue.

There was a thread about this before Lollipop. Some suggested too many saved texts causes lag, Hangouts for texting is better, or worse; SwiftKey keyboard is worse or better.

There is an interesting article from SwiftKey about what may contribute.

After a major update of course, things get slow for a while. Try clearing cache in Recovery mode as well.
