¿Why can't I select a sound to notify me on calendar events?

I creat calendar events on my Galaxy s5 and sometimes miss them because I don't get a sound notification. I'm not always looking at my phone waiting on the calendar event to silently pop up. It's very annoying. Thanks in advance for any help on this

Hello. It may have changed with Lollipop, but you can set sound notifications on both the S-Planner app and the Google Calendar blue app. Both can display the Samsung and My Calendar and others. Google Calendar has a main notification setting, and these can be configured in each calendars settings.
