Samsung Galaxy S5 dropped in water - Screen won't turn on - Can it be saved?

AC Question

So I dropped my S5 into a shallow bath, the screen started flickering and so I pulled out the battery after drying the device quickly. The seal prevented water from reaching the battery, the water-damage indicator is unharmed so it's not an issue with the battery.

I'm currently drying out my phone with rice but I was just wondering the likelihood of it being okay after drying out, or if not, whether I can get it fixed ie, if It's just an issue with the screen, whether I can get that replaced without losing all the data on my phone.

I'm really hoping that I'll be able to save all the data, just wondering peoples opinions/experience as to whether or not I'm likely to need a new phone or if the repair will wipe everything.

Thanks in advance!
