I purchased a 2014 X during Motorola's sale during valentines day, and I have had some bad battery life on it. I'm running Android 5.0 on a Pure Edition. I am only getting about 1 1\2 or 2 hours of screen on time with it. I have brightness at 20%, WiFi on, Bluetooth off, location on battery saving mode, and I don't have my SIM card in it right now (it's in my iPhone 6). Standby times are horrendous, I lose anywhere from 4-6% per hour, and that's without a SIM card in it. I have deleted all apps I don't use, monitored background apps very carefully, and stopped any processes running in the background. Any help or tips to improve battery? I really like this phone but I had to go back to my iPhone because battery on this phone is inconsistent and mediocre so far.

I also have some screenshots of my running apps for you to look at if those would help

Thanks!

I forgot to add a screenshot of my battery stats, sorry. Here it is:

You see how the graph shows your device is awake, but the screen is not on? You could be suffering from a common battery issue; system wakelocks.

You may be wondering,
What are wakelocks? And how do I fix them?

I was thinking it had to do with wake locks. Thanks for the share, this should fix my problem :)

You're welcome. Let me know in the next day or two if it helps.

I'm not rooted so Greenify wasn't extremely useful(it did help me find some stuff out about an app that was draining my battery), but I found a tip on another website. This may not have been the best thing to do, but I used Battery Doctor, which said it cleaned up 32 problems with apps draining my battery. I also deleted the My T-Mobile app, which was almost always active in the background, and now the Moto X is draining less than 1% per hour while on standby. Thanks for all your help!
