Hi, when I scroll down the main photo roll in the stock android photos app, I have been categorising then into albums by doing the following: long tap/hold, (which creates options that appear on the top of the screen) then selecting the album tab at the top of the screen (that looks like a small landscape scene). For most photos, this is fine.

However if I do this for a photo received from WhatsApp, the album tab at the top of the screen does not appear when selecting the photo with a long tap. Please help! Thanks.

The "album" name is actually the name of the folder the picture file is in. Use a file manager, find the file and move it to the folder (album) you want it in.

Easier than putting files where you want them? That would take a self-aware, telepathic computer, and we're a few lifetimes from seeing just a self-aware one.
