Hi, my locked, stock HTC One S entered a boot loop two nights ago. I was able to enter the hboot menu and tried clearing the phone storage, factory resetting, rebooting multiple times, leaving the phone off for many hours--all to no avail. Now, the battery has drained down completely and the phone won't turn on at all, even after leaving it plugged in overnight. When I plug it into my computer, the computer keeps seeing that a device is plugged in then removed, then plugged in, then removed, etc. Is there any hope for this phone at all?

Welcome to Android Central! The first thing I'd try is a new battery:

If the problem persists with a new battery, then it's probably a motherboard issue, which is probably not worth fixing.
