HTC Amaze screen brightness issue

[AC Question]

My HTC amage screen lost some brighness. can't read under day light, britghtness setting turned to maximun... Help !
I don't think it's software related, but who knows
I did a soft/hard reset, and all kind of setting changes....
I bougth a screen replacement on EBay, changed it and still have the same problem.
it's like the brightness was turn very low but on the buttom side of the screen it's a bit better...
Any idea ?

Welcome to Android Central! Is the problem only noticeable when you're in bright sunlight? Most screens don't function that well in that kind of light anyway. How does it look in a normal indoor setting?

If the maximum brightness changed, something changed on the motherboard. Either put up with it or pay for a new motherboard.

same issue indoor, but indoor i can gess what on the screen ....I used this phone for a while now.... this is a new condition on the phone....

If you can change a screen, you can replace a motherboard in your sleep - everything just plugs in. No heat gun, no glue, no glass to break. Just back everything up first - all the internal storage is on the motherboard. Backing up an Android Phone
