How long should my new Verizon basic flip phone charge?

New basic flip phone started charging around 2pm today. How will I know when it is fully charged and ok to turn on?

Hello.

My Samsung candybar takes well under an hour and buzzes when it's full. Then it can last a month.

Turn it on and check if the battery indicator shows full.

It's ok to charge when on, but instructions may want you to fully charge it before setting up.

The general rule is 8 hours on a first charge. However that is all going to depend on what type of battery it has. Personally I put a new phone on the charger overnight just to make sure.

You aren't going to break anything if it only charges for 2 hours or if you let it charge for 24.
