Why do deleted word keep returning?

Deleted words keeps returning.

I have a Xperia Z2 with 4.4.4.

Whenever I am typing text like this message and I want to delete a word or sentence, as soon as I let go of the backspace the deleted words pop back onto my screen forcing me to delete everything twice. First I thought it was Chrome Mobile causing it but now I've installed Opera and there it happens too. I've reset every keyboard function, deleted and reinstalled every app but to no avail. Anyone got a clue what might be causing it?

What keyboard app are you using?

I am using the stock keyboard.

By posting the same question on a different forum I have found another exactly the same case on a different type of device, a Tab S 8.4 (4.4.2).

So it's most likely a Kitkat issue?

I have now installed a third party app, SwiftKey, and it seems that that solves the problem. But this shouldn't be the solution as I don't like having third party apps like that running on my phone.

So if anyone has a solution, please let me know.
