How can I get my samsung galaxy 5 to connect to the internet?

I am not able to click on the wifi button on my phone, when I go into my settings it doesnt show any wifi options open the wifi is completly shut off and i cant reconnect at all.

Welcome to Android Central! What happens when you tap the wi-fi toggle in the Quick Settings? Nothing at all? If you go to Settings>Wi-fi, what happens when you try to flip the wi-fi switch on? Is the switch greyed out?

Does a reboot help?
