Possible to have 160+ texts sent automatically as multiple SMS instead of a MMS?

I've had this feature on other phones and it's quite nice. I frequently send long texts, in the range of 200-400 characters. My phone automatically converts it to a MMS when it reaches 161, but I'd like it to simply send 2 separate texts from 161-320, and 3 separate texts from 321-480, etc. Is this possible on my LG G3, or am I SoL and just have to send texts as I type them?

Also interested in this question. I coach a team with over 100 athletes, so I typically send them sms texts to keep them informed of practice times and such. However recently, doing so has resulted in my getting spam blocked by the FCC - or at least that's what sprint says is occurring.

It's very important to me, however, bc 100+ people is too many for an mms group, so not having the sms option makes communication very difficult.
