Why do my phone keypad responses not get transmitted during calls?

A

AC Question

I make a call and am prompted "Enter 1 ... or enter 2..."
I press a number and it displays on my phone keypad.
But the number I press does not register with the place I am calling. It's as if I made no entry at all.
In the SOUND setting I have turned off "Dialing keypad tone", "Touch sounds", "Screen lock sound". "Haptic feedback" is checked.
Under Samsung keyboards I have turned off "Sound when tapped" and "Vibrate when tapped"

Some automated touch tone systems have problems picking up the key presses of mobile phones. Often times you need to use a landline in order to use those system. You can try clearing the cache of the dialer app (system settings - applications - sort by all - dialer). If that doesn't work then the issue is in the phone systems end, not yours.
