Why doesn`t S Health measure the elevation?

I am using Samsung Galaxy S5 mini. I`m tracking my running workout with S Health. Actually I`m quite satisfied with it, speed and pace are being shown accurately. My only concern is, that it doesn`t register the elevation, descent and ascent. How can I fix this problem?

If the app doesn't support such data, your 'fix' is only to find an app that does. Not sure if other apps that are more running-central would, though.
