Why don't I have a display on my screen?

No Display on Screen

When I was putting my screen protector, 10 minutes later, my phone turned off. When I had turned it back on, I noticed that it later had scribbley lines and then my screen went blank. I can receive phone calls, however, I am unable to answer calls because my screen is blank. Does having to put a screen protector have anything to do with this that may have cause it to be defected?

What kind of screen protector? Was it one that you had to use a liquid to install it?
