Try Settings, About Phone, Status. There's signal strength info in there....though I'm not entirely certain from your question that it's what you're looking for.

If you want to have that kind of information in your homescreen you can try Zooper Widgets. Create your own widget and select as many system variables as you want.

You can use apps like lte discovery and signal check, both available in the play store
