Whenever I take a picture outdoors my skin looks awful. Same when I take a picture of friends who have good skin. I have acne but its nothing really major but when I take a picture of myself with the htc one, my acne looks awful and the red is really exaggerated. Ive taken pictures with others phones and there is no problem but the HTC One really exaggerates the red in my skin. Is this common? I might have to get rid of this phone because it really has knocked my confidence.

Could be a number of factors with the image processor on the camera, you can retouch photos to reduce the redness, but the camera may have issues.

The M7's camera sensor is known to have this pink/purple tint problem. See this gigantic thread: HTC One camera purple tint possible fix | HTC One (M7) | XDA Forums
