I am coming from an iPhone and unless there is a way to accomplish this it's just one more thing iPhone does better. When I am in an app such as twitter and there is a link to another app or website, when I press the back button to get to the original app it only stays in the app that I was linked too. Is there a way to cha go this? Or am I forced to hit the app switcher and find my original app page?

Welcome to Android Central! That is what the Recent Apps button is for, and it does it quite well, in my opinion. It allows you to go to any number of recent apps, instead of just going back to the previous app.
