My phone has that horrible feature where if the password is wrong 10 times, everything is wiped. My drunk friend ignored the warnings and was trying to get into my phone to change the language settings and wiped my phone. is there any possible way of getting my data back? Mostly, my pictures.

If the phone is rooted, see the munky-tool thread on XDA to make an image file of the userdata partition. Then use PhotoRec to recover all the files on that image file. (Instructions are at PhotoRec Step By Step.)

If the phone's not rooted, there's nothing you can do now.
