For a half a year my Micro SD card has been working well. After half a year I have been getting SD Card has been unexpectedly removed. So I would start my phone and it would fine until I did some major reading on the card. Then it just stopped working. I thought it was a bad card since it was 4 years old. So I got a new 16GB Sandisk Micro SD card and put it in, it was working fine. Till later in the day it gave me the error message again. Sure a Samsung card might work better but why not these. I'm really questioning if it's bad hardware.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you move the files that were on the old SD card to the new one, or were they already lost? If you were able to move the files, then it's possible one of the files is corrupt and causing this kind of problem.

Or the SD slot might have some debris caught in it--but I'm not sure how you could go about cleaning it out. You could try a can of compressed air.
