    You used to be able to hit the home button toslide them away and close.

    Welcome to Android Central! Doesn't it have a Recent Apps button to the right of the Home button? That should bring up the Recent Apps screen, and you can swipe them away there.

    In general, though, you should let the system manage which apps to close. That's what Android is designed to do. If you close apps, the system may just open them back up again, or open a different app.
