How do you delete and/or rename an icon on home screen made from an internet link?

I saved a web page as a shortcut on home screen. How do I edit/rename it? How do I delete it. It does not show as an app,

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? You can delete it by long-pressing it, then moving it to the Remove area. Not sure if you can rename it.

Renaming it depends on the launcher you're using. The default launcher on most (all?) phones doesn't allow for renaming, but with Nova Launcher (which always goes on any new phone I get), you just long-press the icon, Edit, and type in the new name.
