Galaxy S5 used to work with Subaru, now freezes Navigation/ Audio

I have a Galaxy S5 phone and a Subaru Legacy 2015. When I first got the car for my job, the S5 paired right up and worked great. However, after I received the latest update, it now only pairs half the time and also (in a lot of cases) will freeze the Subaru navigation system. Locked up. Radio will not change, volume not change, gps mapping does not work, etc. The only way to get the car to work is to turn it off, turn the Bluetooth off on the phone, and then turn the car back on. Then it will operate normally.
Any help is appreciated.
